1000 things you don't want to see in a game ever again

tutorial levels. Especially the ones that really break immersion.

Can't people just read the friggin' manual? Why do we need a tutorial level to teach us the controls?

I don't mind them so much if they can keep the immersion in the game. I actually thought Fallout 3 had one of the best tutorials. They had good reason to treat you like a baby, because you were a baby.

I think I'd rather have a separate tutorial level in the menus at the beginning that I can click to learn the ropes.

What is annoying are tutorials that are basically "level 1" in the game. So every time you play the game you have to go through "level 1" which is the tutorial. Just put a different level in the menu at the beginning that you can load up and learn how to jump and interact with the game.

That's not a problem with Mass Effect morality per se; it simply demonstrates the ridiculousness of having a chaotic evil hero(ine).
Except it's not that at all. "renegade" doesn't mean "chaotic evil", it means "coercive" - especially in ME2, as in ME1 it often just sounded "jerk".
A high-renegade Shepard is someone who is not afraid to be ruthless/confrontational to reach his goals (which are usually for the "greater good" in the great scheme of things), while a high-Paragon is about minimizing damage/being diplomatic.
Some choices are actually more "moral" being Renegade than Paragon (like the one where you agressively lecture someone if you're Renegade, and cheerily trick her into commiting an offense that gets her jailed if you're Paragon).

Hey, I like tutorial levels.
I'm just too lazy/imaptient/don't have the attention spam to read manuals (and manuals aren't as good as they used to be).
As long as tutorials are voluntary and every step is skippable (like basic controls) I'm fine with them.
