I've been playing the Greeks as I learn Civ VI. It has been quite annoying, and sometimes confusing, when I have to play against both Gorgo and Pericles... How is there no restriction against the same Civ existing multiple times in a game?

I guess you could argue that Athens and Sparta are in essence different countries and maybe they thought the flavor of seeing these 2 cities in conflict again on a board would be cool.

I would hope they stop the AI randomly selecting your country and unless alternative leaders also bring about alternative Uniques then its a bit boring to play against them so they should stop that also.

Technically Athens and Sparta were two different city-states, the two actually went to war against each other. So if we're choosing "ancient civilizations" then having both as options does make sense. Now where's my ancient Corinthians, and modern Greece as two extra civs? Lol.
