You can definatly tell by how people answer this post, wether they are true civ fans, or guys that have bled over from other games looking for the next RTW or AOE2.
I hope so much that the game hasent been dumbed down or simplified. Wich by what has been released so far that doesent seem to be the case.
Then again alot of people thought Empire Earth 2 was going to be a great game. The marketing guys had us all fooled there.
Sid has never let us down. Man railroad tycoon and pirates were great games too.

Actually, I love the idea of zooming in and out, rotating and changing perspectives. If it's anywhere near as easy as Railroad Tycoon 3, it'll be really cool, fun and useful!
