It's no so true: the European society has more of the Marx's ideals, like national healt care... If we live 80 years in Italy, something is caused by socialist (and communist) ideas... :grad:

Actually Rufus most of those items you point out were put into place by Napoleon when he conqured the nations of Europe. Then the Coalition defeated France and threw out the reforms inspired by Napoleon. Which inspired the Austrian Revolt of 1848,which by the way was witnessed by a gent named Friedrich Engels. It also inspired the Prussian revolt of 1856 which was witnessed by a gent named Karl Marx. Both of these events inspired these gentlemen to get together to write that drivel and worst treatise on economics called "Das Kapital". I do not Believe that someone should have to work himself to death to support someone too lazy to find work for himself. I want to profit from my labors, not give it to someone else. As the French say "Vive La Liberté".You can keep your oppression of individual liberties "for the good of the common man"

If French say "Vive la liberté", they tell also about fraternité and égalité, so for this two some liberty must be limited.
If some idea of Socialism is napoleonic, is true, but they were developed by Marx and Engels. Last one, if you work 8 hours for day and have a week-end, remember the socialist speak "8 hours of work, 8 hours of enternaiment, 8 hours of sleep".

Remember the Eukatae speak: "No one has a right to lay claim to a second of my time." Communism is not a utopia, it is slavery; and will always be so. Not trying to start a fight here, but I cannot read something like this without some kind of response; it's just not in my character.

Oh I know the difference, but the reality is both systems demand contribution of my time without my concent. It's my time/money and I should have the right to decide how it is spent.
