A few questions about warring in multiplayer

Hey,

I've been playing mps quite a lot lately but there are a few issues that I don't quite understand.

1. Liberating cities
I wanted to liberate a fallen AI's city but when I captured it (owned by a player), i could raze, puppet, annex or view it. Liberation was not an option, even though tooltip on the city name informed me about extreme liberation bonus. Is it possible at all to liberate cities? Later on, I've also demanded a city in the peace deal. My intention was to liberate it but again, there was no such option.

2. City trading
I'm playing in hybrid mode and have problems with trading cities. When I make an offer about city trade, my partners usually don't see these offers. I need to make them 3-4 times. Is this a standard problem with civ? We have no other problems whatsoever concerning other fields of diplomatic deals.

3. Diplomacy during wars
During wars, when playing in hybrid mode, game pace switches to sequential. How does diplomacy and pretty much everything else works then? My problem was that I demanded a city in peace deal and hit "end turn". My opponent reported that he accepted the deal and the city was transferred to me but when my turn started, we were still at war and the city was his. The situation changed only when my next turn started (two turns from the deal being accepted), which means that for my one sequential turn and one of his turns, the city was his and mine at the same time. Or maybe something else was going on? Could someone explain me when agreements during war time take effect?

4. Varying handicap levels
I'm an immortal player and my friends usually play on king or at emperor at best. To make the game more equal, we tried to play with different handicaps. I chose immortal and my friends all took prince. How did it affect the game in detail? Could someone list me the differences? I guess that AI conformed with the lower handicap and played very poorly in comparison to what i'm used to. Also, other human players were whelping wonders like muslim immigrants whelp children in France while I kept the fertility rates of nove ruskie.

There should be no problem liberating cities. Play on Simultaneous Turns because maybe the Hybrid is messing that up

Again play Simultaneous

Ditto

Well all the AIs would be on Prince difficulty because that is the lowest difficulty that someone has selected. Also because your friend is on Prince he will receive Prince difficult handicaps (none), whilst you on the other hand will receive Immortal difficult handicaps. Basically all it means is you receive more unhappiness than him.

Hybrid is not playable in multiplayer. It's horrible and as you can see it also has bugs. If you try to play an FFA on hybrid you get 40 minute turns when some one declares war on some one else. No thank you.

Simultaneous is the only way to go in multiplayer.

Agreed! Its so very true.

A small vocal minority was the ones always calling for non simultaneaous turns in MP.
