Nuke on a Stick
Chieftain
This should probably be two posts, one in here and one in the general discussion, but I thought you people might be more helpful with my questions. I've been playing the civ series for years now, and am looking for something new. Since I've found this site, I've been able to get my hands on some really great material. I have a few scenarios that I just got, and I'm looking for more.
The ones I do have are(I don't know the authors names off the top of my head for some of these):
The Battle for Australia, by Case: Nicely done. The first user-made one I got a hold on. Cool 'what if' scenario. Units and events well made. The Japs just keep swarming and swarming....
1984: While not too heavily modded, it does make for a good war sim. It obviously can't recreate the loathing you got from reading the book, but it does recreate what the war lines would have been pretty realistically. And the floating fortresses rock.
Crisises of the New World Order: Unbeleiveable. Awesome modifications, with well written events to simulate the world as good as a Civ 2 scenario can. I love this one.
I have a few other, but they are unmodded scenarios that could be played on classic civ(I have the FW version.)
What other ones would you recommend? I love good scenarios set from 1600s on, with alternate history is very high on my list too. Well done modding of files and infrastructure in place(I like to tear the landscape up, not build on it.
) I figured you could help point the way for some well done ones. Any ideas?
Also, I've been messing with the files myself, and very interested in making a good scenario. I was thinking along the lines of a Modern war, in one area of operations(Korea, perhaps?) I was wondering what places have information on making a well-made one. Any help is appricated. Thanks.
