a little question about map editing

Why, whenever I try to edit a map I've downloaded, when I try to change say a desert to a grassland, the new grassland will have a little yellow diamond with green lines? What gives? Thanks

there are 3 kind of grassland in civ3conquest ,i think
1.normal glassland
2.bonus glassland (+1 commerce can't be changed)
3.Lm glassland(+ or- any you want)
i think u used Lm glassland instead of normal glassland , go looking carefully again
Lm glassland maybe diffirent from normal glassland in the way of tile values ,mean you can config it to give more or less shield , commerce and food. but there r no diffirent in land looking in game playing(diamond not appear).
