A need the blank default Unit Icon background image

You know the unit icon background that looks like sunrays. I need that.

As I understand it, everyone creates those on their own.

Check this guide's step #6. It's not all that difficult once you get the hang of it, in my opinion.

Thanks, but that's not what I'm referring to. I know how to make icons. There is a default blank background that has the sunrays that I'm looking for. I know its floating around somewhere.

Upon closer look, it appears you are right. The rays behind each of the default units are all different. Thanks for that link, btw.

Somethin' i came across a long time ago - even, waaaayyyy before seeing it used by Firaxis designers for their Icons background. So far away in fact that i can't remember where i got this resource. I suggest some JPG lossless filtering attempts though.



Copy, clip, crop, resize, rotate, expand, perspective, invert, alpha blend (etc!) such a masking device... as you wish. You'll eventually get exactly what you want from IT.

You could even build your own stuff rather easily... just follow the thrilling path to starburst fame!
