A person who has not yet bought Civ 3

Honestly, is it worth a hardened Civ fan like me buying?

Also, I was curious as to whether there is any sea or space element like in CTP. Space was mysteriously scrapped from CTP2, for a reason I can't quite grasp.

If you can put up with a less than perfect product, go for it. Some features are poorly implemented and there is atleast one significant bug in the air superiority feature.

But otherwise, its not a bad game. Its just that it falls short of the 'game of the year' quality we had been hoping for and expecting from Sid.

Have sea colonies and their ilk been moved onto pastures new? I thought that the sea and space elements of CTP were one of the better ideas.
