A Question for Vista Users

Alright, so I bought a game (Medieval II: Total War), but the game runs slow (The battles look like an episode of Tom Goes to the Mayor). I just a quick and easy solution. So, when I go and end processes on Task Manager, which ones should I NOT TOUCH? Instruction manuals tell which ones to keep for XP, but not Vista.

I just noticed a total war forum. Can someone move this to the appropriate forum?

Could you tell us what hardware your computer has? It would be better to just add RAM or add a new graphics board, although it can't hurt to end processes for programs (not Windows components) if you know what they are and don't need them active while playing.

Awesome TGttM reference.

Actually, you probably shouldn't kill anything if you don't know what you are doing. However, if you are running an antivirus, turning that off could help.

I got it. I use a laptop, so it's kinda difficult to add anything to it, but thanks anyway. Great game, love the series. The assassination videos on Shogun are awesome.
