Just wondering how hard it is to produce a movie cut scene with all the software that's lying around...I am not at all familiar with the production process involved with making say, a 15-20 second clip in a quality equivalent to the intro of your typical game, but I see a really well develloped example of crowdsourcing with the modding community, and perhaps there's a way to split the task into something really easy your typical Joe can do (most rendering tasks??).

FFH2 is an awesome game, even better than (forgive my heresy, oh father Sid) than Civ itself. If there was way to make a movie that was easy, it would really add that final polish on an otherwise perfect game.

:king:

Oh, it is hard. If you are talking about quality 3D cinematics, that is just too much work for too little gain unless we manage to find 100 people that have access to a 3D editing software and can actually use it, AND coordinate them in such a way that none of them produce anything below the expected quality standard. We would probably need quite a few artists to draw the scenes first as well, so that the 3D guys have the same vision of what is required of them.

It would be better (and have much more impact) if someone could take scenes from the game and create a nice trailer showing off some great art, atmosphere and gameplay aspects. and then upload to youtube, etc. :) shouldnt be too hard for someone with a littel bit spare time (programs could be "wink" e.g.)
