I decided to give Civ 5 a try after all and started an OCC game with the Egyptians.

To make a long story short, Suleiman is about to kick my ass using sheer numbers and it's a game on an epic time setting so I really don't want to start over.

Since I'm doing this for fun I would like to solve this problem - all means are kosher. :)

Are there any cheats? Save game editors? Something?! I tried the debug panel thingie but for some reason whatever I do there doesn't work (thought I can gift myself a couple mech. infs... :)).

Thanks.

I don't know of any cheats or anything that will help you instachange your fate. I don't know what your current situation is but if you fortify your melee/gunpowder units in defensible positions (forest, hills or a combination) close to or right next to your city and set a ranged unit or two behind them, you might be able to save the game.

If you can't do any of that, take the loss and start a new game.

I'd take a look at the autosaves and see if there is one that's far back enough where you can prevent being overrun and play differently. Otherwise, it's probably easiest to just start again.

I think you have to toggle an ini file or something before the game starts in order to access debug mode (I can't remember which mod program, firetuner maybe?).
