There are some things which in my opinion should be done for AI when it has to counter heroes.
First of all when a unit is summoned like the Treant and it is near enemy hero it should attack that hero it is pointless to see a summoned unit which disappear some turns later which don't attack your hero just because percentages to win are too low.
Another thing to add would be when an hero is hurt at least below half strenght AI should try to attack the hero also if percentage are too low it is pointless that they wait you healing the hero and resuming the attacks.
