First of all hi I'm new here etc...

I really need some improvement with my regular civ4 and I was thinking of the expansions.
Well I have 2 problems about that:

for one I dont know which one to go with warlords or beyond the sword? I was hoping you could help me about that with your comments. but please dont just say i.e. "go with warlords" please, PLEASE explain both expansions' characteristics. :)

Second, which ever I choose, how can I download them? (gonna install it right onto the regular civ4 1.74)

thank you all already civbros.

quick note: I considered this section to be the most appropriate to shoot my problem since, it's not only about civ4, warlords or beyond the sword, it comprises all 3.
sorry if it's the wrong section.

Beyond this Sword has EVERYTHING Warlords has except for senarios...And, you don't need those.

And, if you can buy it instore I would instead of downloading.

not quiet explanatory don't you think mate?.. :/
I'm not interested in scenarios either, yet, I'd like to know which one would be more ideal to download, cuz as far as I know we can install 1 expansion only.

I need some details, like, which one has more new civilizations in them for instance, if they have a difference about that. and stuff like that... please someone gimme details??!

and say bts has everything in it that warlords have exept for the scenarios... doesn't that literally mean warlords is everything bts is and more (with scenarios) ?..

god now I'm kind of confused.
guys I really need help please?!

Easy. Warlords offers new civs, new leaders, new buildings, new wonders... Plus some others new things and features. BTS offers the same new civs, new leaders, new buildings, new wonders... Plus all the others new things and features of Warlords plus two or three times more things (civs, leaders, buildings, ... other features). So yes, except scenarios, Walords is included in BTS.

And if you want, you can install both BTS and Warlords, no pb with this.

guys I've been doing research about it in wikipedia and according to the info there, you install the warlords first then you install bts..?

guys c'mon this' supposed to be the best environment for civfans, where are your posts?? :(
I'm so confused...

or does bts include the 6 new civs that come with warlords expansion?

PLEASE help?!

hmm... any links for me to download beyond the sword?
they don't sell it anywhere around here you know.

You don't seem to be comprehending.

Warlords makes some slight changes to the game balance wise and adds some new stuff. The main thing in Warlords is scenarios.

Beyond the Sword adds the new espionage system, better AI, a lot more changes, the AP, and a LOT more. Other than the scenarios, which you said you aren't interested in, Beyond the Sword has EVERYTHING that Warlords has, and more. If you don't want the Warlords scenarios, just get Beyond the Sword.

You only need to install Warlords first IF you want to use both packs.

As for where to get it? I'm not sure. Steam and Direct2Drive don't sell in Turkey I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong).

You could try www.amazon.com, I THINK they ship worldwide.

www.ebay.com is another good place, which may or may not ship worldwide depending on the seller.

EDIT: Here

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...0532195-3743339?ie=UTF8&qid=1191735246&sr=8-1

The first person under FEATURED SELLERS will ship internationally.

alright now it's all clear to me about the expansions, thank you everyone.

but I need to download it, I can't buy the original game. I don't have a credit card, can't use any of my parents'..
so I really need to download it, where/how can I?

well, I found one myself, but it's as 13 different parts.

I also want to emphesize CivFanatics' zero-tolerence on piracy policy (boldened below). We take this issue very seriously, and we will take action against it whenever necesery. The best way to avoid problems is to not even discuss it at all.

If you would have taken the time to read the rules yourself, you would have figured it out

this man speaks the truth. :)

but hey, I wouldnt wanna do somethin that'd piss my civbros off, how can I delete my post?

Moderator Action: Don't worry, I got it for you.

On the post you wish to delete click on edit. Then modify the post. If you want just delete it all and type "Post deleted" and click save.

Just order BTS off of Amazon or eBay. You get the feeling that you supported developers in the making of an awesome game/expansion, and you don't get a bunch of viruses and spyware which you often do when surfing for pirated stuff.

word

I also should note that the BTS expansion is what made it 'enjoyable' to me, considering it brought real espionage to be:cool:

I don't know where you live, but i will say this:
Meijer (MI, OH, WI, IN, IL) stocks it for the most part
Best Buy
Target
Wal Mart (but somehow super expensive, don't go here)
or Internet retailers like Ebay or Amazon.

BTS is usually between 25.99 and 39.99. So shop around. Check out retailer's websites for prices before you go shopping.

Istanbul/Turkey yes.
no walmarts or anything (thank god)
