-Not a lot of new activity yet -I should have been more active getting the word out- but I've been very happy reviewing the themes that were new when the downage happened -like the one pictured above- and re-reading many excellent conversations.

Even better news - our migration to a new host commenced this afternoon.

We should be tech-stable in the near future. I am a very happy nerd right now.

None of this could have happened w/o the wise and graceful help of the CFC staff, especially The_J and Blake00, who were instrumental in helping us find tech support. A rising tide, indeed, lifts all boats, and the greater Civ online community just got a little bit healthier. Thank you, gentlemen.

We are now firmly in place on our new server - thus, the fast pageloads I've been getting for over a day now. Happy days are here again.

Everything I know of works as before -but faster and presumably more stable- so far, except the AC Wiki.

wilkesreid tells me he's tackling the email notifications first, then something to do with sustaining httpS addressing that enhances user security, then the Wiki.

-Later -but soon- I'm hoping for an SMF forum software update -which will make a big mess temporarily and take a few days- and any other feasible security measure we can take.
