activating mods

when choosing a mod, the game says it must restart to load the mod. i restart, go back to the menu and check the version of the game, and it says mod name=none (IE mod not loaded)

How do i get a mod loaded??

When it says, the game must restart, click OK and the game will restart automatically, with the mod loaded. You can also create a shortcut for starting mods, e.g.,

"C:\Program Files\Civ4\Civilization4.exe" mod="The Ancient Mediterranean"

Except civ4 wont restart automaticly for me. Also using that shortcut method says its an invalid mod directory. Using the revolution mod, if that rings any bells.

Perhaps the mod is badly installed. Try if it works for some other mods. BTW does tutorial work for you (also a mod I think)?
