Went through my first ever game of Civ VII starting in the Modern Age, I chose the starting Infantry and Cavalry armies [EDIT: add to that 1000 Gold and capital population boost] but I immediately thought when picking the rest that I had made a compromise between settlement count (started with four in total) and the free Techs+Civics legacies. I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts on how the legacies available impact how big players (human or AI) get in Advanced Start, especially given how bloated empires get if you start all the way from the Ancient Era
