Welcome (back) to the posting side :wavey:

Moderator Action: I put your image in spoiler tags - it is quite large. Also moved to Tech Support

is this the us or eu version of the game?

what operating system is this?

i think it's a Eu version because i saw the words "made in EU" on the box.
my operation system is Windows 7 bit 32

did you run the installer with admin rights?
did you run the patch with admin rights?

i.e. did you right click on the setup.exe on the disc / right click on the patch .exe and choose run as administrator?

nope, does it matter?
i can still play the game but i can't see the proper texts & save game too.

admin rights are really important - especially on vista/7 where just using an admin account does not necessarily mean a program has admin rights. This is actually a good thing - but many programs, especially those written for win XP do often require admin rights for installation.

Try the following:
right click on the shortcut you use to start the game - and choose run as administrator.
if that works, great, if it does not:

uninstall the game
restart the computer
install the game - do not use the autoplay feature, but go to the disc, open it in windows explorer and look for setup.exe - right click on it and choose run as administrator
check if it works
download the 3.17 patch from here - if it is a zip file unzip it
right click on the patch .exe and choose run as administrator
check if the game works
download the 3.19 patch from here - if it is a zip file unzip it
right click on the patch .exe and choose run as administrator
check if the game works

just some explanation: Civ Complete (EU version) is patched to date for the Civ4 and Warlords parts - but if I recall correctly only to 3.13 for BtS - since you have experienced troubles with patching I'd recommend successive installation of the next two patches (even though 3.19 includes all 3.17 changes) - this way its easier to see where it gets into trouble if it does. I expect it to be a problem with insufficient permissions though.

it works very well, thanks alot

:hmm:
at this point I'd probably recommend contacting Take2 tech support about this.
It likely is still some permissions issue - but since its installed with admin rights I would not know what exactly...
What happens when you click on ok?

the game just continues...
any special mods that are interesting to play?
i'd like to play in a game with only 1 civilization and fight with the barbarians.
unfortunately, i can't set the ending era but only the starting era.
somehow the barbarians are not that fearful at all after i build the great wall.
i never want to start at the classical age because i want to build the stonhenge.
i feel bored now
