Hello y'all. I decided to do an AAR on AoE III Asian Dynasties, and, since there is no AoE forum, it fits in here. I'm trying to play as China which, in my review (where WE review our games thread), was termed terrible.
Spoiler Settings :
Settings:
Easy
China
Silk Road
Ottomans on my team
Japanese on my team
Aztecs on my team
(the point is, these guys focus on offense, so I'm alone.)
Nomads Start (build up your town center first.
DEATHMATCH (everything is faster, this is to encourage the lily-livered AI to fight)

GENERAL DISCLAIMER:
The screenshots are in German.

(I named my monk Hsi-Fa-Na-Ti-Hsu XD)

Spoiler Start Info :

Translation:
Daimyo Omega - Moi. That's my AoE profile name.
Zufallscharakter - Random

Spoiler :

Translation: From their markets on opposite sides of the famous Silk Road, players fight over control of this lucrative trade route. The map shows a random pick from three parts of the route, so there are three variants with different features. The players don't need to build up the route, just conquer it before the foe does!

Hmm... Izzy is always against me for a reason... Ivan (Iwan) is fairly aggressive. In fact, he's the major danger. Henry (Heinrich) is always somewhere building trading posts. Fred (Friedrich) is not of major concern UNTIL HE GETS A FACTORY.

Current goals:

a) Build a settlement with School of Confucius as first wonder
b) Build an army
c) Build some castles (If completed, advance)
d) BARRAGE FRED!!!!!
e) destroy Ivan
f) destroy Izzy (hard)
g) destroy Henry.

Cuauthemoc (I'll call him Cua) immediatly starts grovelling, saying I am a messenger of the gods.

Now that's out of the way. I'll start my AAR soon, In history book mode.

Chapter 1: Do it the colony way - Part I

In one of the later years of the great Kangxi's reign (check), A settlement was commanded to be founded to secure the silk road. A monk, Hsi-Fa-Na-Ti-Hsu, was sent to help. He decided it would be the Center of knowledge (sadly, this is irrelevant but it's nice )

He was not alone, for the Aztecs, who had come here, the Turks, in an expansion, and the Japanese, for trade, had followed. The russians had brought mediterranean allies, as well as a German one*. These had to die.

A Shaolin temple was close by. The Hsians would trade and recruit their early force here...

(continuation to follow)

* In AoE III, Germany - Prussia (so it'll be 1:0 China-Germany :p)

I love how I can't find my Asian Dynasties disk so I can't play my Level 45 Kyoto.

The only reason I have AoE3 and its expansions is because it was on sale on GFWL last year for 10 cents.

Not bad, ridiculous story but I did get more than the 12 cents I paid out of it :p

Games For Windows Live, its a stupid Microsoft product they try to bundle with various PC/Xbox games that is annoying as hell and are also trying to make into a digital retailer. Its not really that good.

Oh, gah, I know now. I just didn't recognize the acronym.
