Agent Orange Game 2B

I have another hopeless start in another pbem game - much worse than this one. Its very dispiriting. If it were a solo game, I'd probably restart. if It were a GOTM or Tournament game, at least everyone has the same start. In the other game, I have no prospect of building a settler for a looooooooong time. I know I'll get taken out when someone finds me .....

Its one reason for playing lots of pbem games. I DO have good starts in a couple of them :)

Bleh! Continents while we have 5 expansionistic civs???? I think at least five of us wanted a pangea!

No way dude! Irrigate the plain and after border expansion you have that bonus grassland tile in your range!!!!
 
IMHO pangea is less interesting. If we're in say 2 or 3 groups, it makes much more sense to ally up and fight another continent first. That way people with a less than optimal start have a chance for a decent game too.

Also continents can be fine for scouting too. In DDPP it doesn't seem to be like a pangea but I got my share of huts anyway.

Doh. Thats a given - wonder how far north the desert goes. Does that bit of land join on to a big bit of land all for me? Could be three cows just out of sight. Who knows.

I love the start of these games. Knowing the map removes a large part of the fun for me. I wish Propain hadn't said it was continents. Much more fun to find that out the hard way.

I actually want to use another (nothing space related) pic as avatar, but I have been struggling to get it to the right size, as I do not have fancy Photoshop Cd's etc. ;)

If any of you want to help me out with it, I would be very grateful. :)

Don't be disappointed col, it doesn't mean all that. I've seen continent maps on pangaea setting and vice versa.
 
Thanks for the offer, Killer, but I've already sent the pic to Propain for further processing of resizing of the image, so I'll let him finish it for me. :)

As for the continents/pangea thing: this should definitely warrant a restart! Don't you agree, col? ;)

j/k, of course, but I think it will be quite the challenge for both col and me to just being able to survive with these competitors in the game, but I'll give it my best shot nevertheless.

I'm gonna be agreeing with everyone and everything for a while .in this game .. I cant see Erikk restarting ever again. Did he tell you about the three cow city he lost on a restart ......

Hmmm... now that was a fast game! Too bad we quit that one coz after seeing the map I was sure better off than I am now in the 4x2!

@Wildfire : Got your email but please check the adress. You mailed to htwink instead of h.t.wink (or ht_wink which was the one I put up by accident) I managed to retrieve it from the server anyway, but please use the h.t.wink_at_cqprocesmanagement.nl adress. I check that one at least once an hour.
