I know many, many months ago Cracker proposed this, and I still think this is a good idea.
In the editor, make it possible to adjust the AI difficulty bonuses for each level by 4 different categories:
1. Production costs of units/buildings
2. Production costs of Great Wonders (maybe even small wonders?)
3. Growth
4. Research.
For example, you could make it so the AI gets the deity level discount for building military and temples, etc. but they don't get a 40% discount on wonders. (currently they get the Pyramids for only 240 shields instead of 400 on deity).
You could change it, so doing your own research (at or near max science) is actually feasible on deity. Previous patches changed this from at first helping the AI, to now they penalize the player on high levels.
I want to be able to play deity and realistically getting a shot at a wonder, and not always being forced to run 0% or 10% science gambits.
