AI not upgrading obsolete units.

Im wondering why the AI doesnt upgrade its units when the new units become available. They have plenty of money, they have the technology, but when I come knocking on their door they will have one mech infantry, a couple of infantry, some riflemen, a pikeman or two, and even a spearman. Then instead of upgrading these units they will conscript new ones at a lousy two hit points. It doesn't make sense!

Yeah its a shame you think they could patch that wouldn't ya. I hope that in civ4 they finally get a decent AI. How hard could it be.
