Alien Crossfire Factions Stopped Showing Up

My first game with the newest patch I played as the consciousness and the other Alien Crossfire were all visible and playable. I went to start a new game all of the Alien Crossfire actions were gone. I tried repatching but it didn't work. What Do?

I'm only on my first playthrough of latest patch, but there is a "no expansion factions" option in the custom game setup. Try a custom game with this option not selected.

EDIT : a quick test of mine had roze spawn. So the feature does seem to be working.

EDIT : I mean even on second go.... I'll just bet it also works on the third.

I think he means the ability to play the factions yourself right from the start of the game. That's only possible if you start in the Expansion era or later. In addition IIRC you often need to fiddle around a little bit like change the difficulty level and then change it back to the intended one before the game creation screen updates to show the expansion factions as available.
