alien crossfire factions Vs vanilla fractions?

just installed Alien Xfire

are the factions in the expansion stronger than the vanilla ones? because i think they are what do you lot(few) think?

Aliens almost certainly are. (And were designed that way.)

Pirates in general seem to be considered somewhat overpowered.

Otherwise, it depends who you ask.

It depends a great deal on the difficulty level as well as the planet customisation options. In my opinion, the Planet Cult is exceptionally strong when you play in a tiny map with plenty of fungus and little ocean. For larger maps, Yang is very powerful, thanks to the change in efficiency in SMACX.
