remember the lovely feature in SMAC that allowed you and your allies to converge on certain areas in coordination. WHAT HAPPENED?! that idea would have been terrific for CIV 3 besides being completely do-able. The only flaw I could see about this is how to implement it in the pre-industrial era. Any Ideas to further or counter what was said?

There's quite a few threads with the idea about co-ordination between allies like asking other Civ's to call off wars (vendettas) etc, but not this particular point. Personally I never found it much use, and only invite other Civ's to a war as distraction. I guess I've beaten down a city only to have it snatched by an 'allie' one too many times. :)

yea lol Ive wasted massive bombardments on enemys only to have an ally come in and sweep in the city...but I was thinking that instead of an invasion this would be more sensable on an operation to route a leader and place in a puppet type governent wich is a whole diffrent topic. But Im also suggesting this on the assumption that in CIV4 allies would be more of an asset and less of a burden or distraction
