In My Game Right Now I Need Aluminum To Start The Spaceship And France Has Plenty But It Wont Let Me Trade For It Any Ideas Why? Any Help Would Be Great

What do mean France has plenty? In their territory? Connected? They will never trade away their last resource. They may be trading it with other civs.

My advice would be to go an take the aluminium by force.

Yeah, if they have tons of aluminum in their territory, but only one connected, they won't trade.

They also won't trade if relations between your two nations are poor.

Rep doesn't affect deals where the AI is the one to provide the per-turn supply. ;)

BIGRICK, saddle up and send your cowboys in , like in the real world , if you want something nab it !

Are you my mummy?

Blitzkreig them, sometimes there is no choice.

Actually there is. You don't have to blitzkrieg them. Blitzkrieging gives you huge losses. In this case, a more effective method would be to do a maritime assault or a full scale artillery + tanks + mech infantry war to take them out.

I used blitzkreig in a general sense. Basically any military operation.

But Im a peaceful player, I avoid combat like the plague. It drives me nuts about how spearmen can defeat everything.

:spear: ??? :crazyeye:

The French may have trade deals for all their excess with other Civs. Look carefully at everhone else and see who has the resource/who doesn't and see if they have any spare. If they still won't trade its probably because they hate you/don't trust you, or you may just not have enough to trade with...

sj frank is right check that they have rocketry and if they do make sure that you are more technologically advanced than france before you attack them
