AMD Athlon X2 not supported

Hi,

I have problem. I've changed cpu on my pc and SMAC doesn't work anymore. When I start the game it says "CPU not supported". Can you help me, please! Do you know any patch or something I can do about it?

What do you do when you get that message? I get it every time I play. I click OK, and it plays anyway. IOW, is the game actually crashing or are you just taking its word that it won't play?

I was getting worried then! Even though I play civ 4 now I still go back to SMAC from time to time, but I've not tried it yet on my new PC which is an Athlon X2... hopefully it will work for me
