I am playing and Elizabeth just asked me to declare war on China. I agreed and now the next turn Elizabeth considers me a warmongering menace to the world. Previously I had only one war and it was before meeting Elizabeth.

Helping them out in a war should be increasing my relations... not decreasing them

This belongs in general discussion Moderator Action: -> Thread moved. , but I agree that doesn't make any sense.

I tend to ignore requests for a DoW unless I was about to do it anyway.

Well, I don't know if it helps, but denouncing your future enemy and making him hostile tends to prevent warmongering menace status. Earlier I had it each time I declared war, now less frequently. Also it could be removed if you have good enough relations with a civilization. I had Maria I thinking that I am WMTW, after a while, when our relations went up, it suddenly disappeared from her menu.

I don't like it when AI say I'm a Warmongering Menace, if the only war's I've been in are when people have DOW'd me.

I'm guessing that only happens when they offer you peace terms, then you refuse (even if the terms they offer are ridiculous) - does anyone else know if that's the case, or if it's just simply because you're at war, regardless of who the agressor was?

Either way, think that could be patched....

Well, they don't seem to that you capture an AIs capital or by "killing them off" either, regardless if you started the war or not. Another thing, don't declare war, or join a war if you have DoF with that AI, that's backstabbing and are not liked at all.
