I was trying to get a multiplayer game going with this tonight and we kept running into multiple problems. Has anyone ever successfully played this game online?
If so, did you use gamespy or IP connection?
We did ok using IP but some random thing would always happen to the game within 10 turns in. (CTD, bugged game, turn freezes, etc.) On gamespy, when it launched, the host would have it start up but the connecting player had the screen go black with a bar at the bottom (part of the UI) and the cursor dragged a trail behind it like a freeze. (Kinda like after you beat solitare on Windows how the cards do.)
Anyways, we are both running the latest patch I know of. (v1.2) Any help or information of past experience (stories of problems or running perfect) is appreciated.
