Ancient to Modern

well, it happened when i started as the US, too. The Mayans and Iroquois had ALOT of units and I was still building a settler!

Okay, i started playing as Indonesia yesterday, didnt play much tough, didnt have time.

But here are a few notes i made:

Jakarta cant support size 3, so it starves imideatley.
And is it needed to have all those cities near volcanos, when i was playing i had one city destroyed by a volcano, pluss the Japanese had Tokyo destoyed by a volcano.

Thats all, appart from that i think its quit good :)

How do I make it so Jakarta dose'nt starve? I trid placing cities as accurately as possible but if it's a problem I can move them a tile or 2 away from the volcanos. And I'll fix the Trimere upgrade bug.

this scenario is very cool. i had set it to "sid" level or whatever it was...I'm not that good..but I got it down to a lower level. now it's fun!

Well that explains it;) I should have the new version out this week. What civ have you playead as? What do you think about the civs having more thna one UU and the new units? Is it unbalancing or is it good?

Thanks for the help again! :thanx: Just downloading now. I know how it feels when you get no feedback or just lots from one person, it gets irritating but keep up the work, some people just aren't as talkitivley gifted as us! :aargh:

well, I've just played as Germany, and am only in 1700BC or something, but more than one UU is a good idea, IMO. Diversifies the civs even more. I would relocate Vienna, though. I added some stuff to your map, cities wise, and did a few minor other thing before I realized the problem. If you want me to send you that one and you can have a look at it, just tell me and I'll email it to you or something.

they are pretty evident. I just firmed up borders..but you'd probably have to start it at 1 AD or something because of the borders.

well, i sent you an email, but it was from here, and I can't attach from here. check your mail and reply to dotcomguy50@yahoo.com. That's my email. from there I can send it to you.

how long does it take for this to initialize and how smooth does it run? It seems like a cool scenario, but also seems like it might be a little slow. Thanks in advance

It dose'nt take long at all. But if you have a slow computer than around the Industrial or Modern age it might slow down a little.

Also Art of War I have'nt had a chance to look at your changes. When I get the time I'll look at it.

hello silver its been awhile since I've looked into CFC

anyways nice scenario, I have also edited Rhye's 180x180 world map for my own games, I haven't gotten a chance to play your scenario yet but I have looked at the file

here is my input:

1. you should change the volcanos that are next to civs capitals into mountains because you don't want the center of a civs empire destroyed by bad luck.

2. you should change the name of the Spanish city of Toledo to Santiago because the real world Santiago of Spain is located where you placed Toledo.

3. you should remove the American city of San Fransico because that area originally belonged to Mexico before the US conquered it from them, besides America should really only start in the eastcoast and then expand westward.

4. England should NOT be in Austraila or Ireland at the begining of the game, you should remove those cities and give England more cities on its mainland and maybe some galleys and settlers

5. The Viking cities of Trondheim and Stockholm are miss placed and so is the Austrian city of Vienna (which was already mentioned)

6. you should place alot and I mean ALOT of barbarian huts in certain areas of the world, like in South America, Central Africa, Central Asia, North America you get the idea.

well thats all for now, I might post more once I get a chance to actually play the damn thing

P.S. did you know you can get past the whole tundra being unsettleable by planting a forest on it first, the AI never does this but you might want to when you play the scenario

Sorry it took me so long to resspond. I am making a new version with some of your suggestions also I'm replacing the Americans with the Songhi. As for England being i Ireland and Australia I but them there because they were former Bristish colonies. I'll remove them from Australia but I'll keep themin Ireland. I fixed Vienna. Also could you tell me where the orrect places for Trondhiem and Stockholm go? The reason I did'nt place barbs was because I made them much stronger. They are set to ragining and for all levels there are n advantages against them also the stantard unit is the swordsmen and advanced horse archer. I was aware of the tundra thing. Anyway thanks for your imput and i hope you get to play it. Also I'm considering adding the MIG or some other type of plane.

why is Kuwait city in the ancient age when it was founded in the 1800s?

why does India have six cities when other large(er) nations only have five (America,Russia,China)

This sceanrio is not historically accurate and is'nt meant to be. India has more cities because it dose'nt have much room to expand with China and the Himylas to the norrth. The Persians to the west, the Khemers to the east and the Indian ocean to the south. Chia Russia and the US have more expansion room.
