Hi all,

this scenario is a bit old. I finished that about two years ago and last changes were done about one and half years ago. But I really like it and I think it is really very playable. Now I downloaded some stuff for Civ4 and want to add something to this huge pool. :goodjob:

The map was "stolen" from somebody from here (I don't remember who was that) and modified to suit my needs. Also resources and other graphic stuff was similarly "stolen". Thanks to those people! ;)

I add here a map and also my XLS file, where is documentation I made during creating this scenario. There are lists of resources, units, buildings, wonders and technology tree. Everything with comments.

There are following civilizations:
Romans - it was originally designed for Romans (my favourite civilization) and tested mostly for them.
Greeks - located in their original position (Greece)
Britons - located in their original position (England)
Gallic Celts - located in their original position (France)
Hittites - located in their original position (Small Asia)
Babylonians - located in their original position (Mesopotamia)
Egyptians - located in their original position (Egypt)
Carthaginians - located in their original position (Carthage)
Germanic Tribes - located in their original position (Germany)
Scythians - thay have few villages (cities) far east and cannot build settlers; they are supposed to behave like barbarians and not standard civ.

Another features are:
1. Very slow production of settlers.

2. Very slow technology progress. There are 54 technologies in 4 eras:
- Stone age
- Bronze age
- Iron age
- Age of Empires ;), which ends with Monotheism.
See more details in attachment AAMS_docs.zip.

3. Every civ has its own special unit. Scythians are exception - they have more of them to simulate their barbarian nature.

4. Resources - I didn't put resources myself; they are randomly placed. I don't like resources to be same all the time in scenario. So if you want to change them, just generate it randomly again ...

Please give me feedback, but I don't promise to make any more changes to this scenario since I don't have Civ 3 installed anymore. You can ask me questions, though.

Enjoy! ;)

PS: How to install it:
1. AAMS.zip - scenario itself - unpack it into "...\Civilization III\Civ3ptw\Scenarios" directory.
2. In this directory, create dir ZZ_Rome_NEW and unpack the file AAMS_Text.zip in it.
3. In dir ZZ_Rome_NEW create dir Art and unpack all other files (with Art in filename) in it.
4. AAMS_docs.zip - XLS documentation (you need not to intall it).
Sorry it is so difficult, but I was limited by the attachment length.

Attachments

There is maximum of 5 attachment, I needed 8, so those 3 are here.

Like I said, I put it here just to repay a little for everything I got from here. I will hardly make any changes. From my point of view it is finished. Well if there will be more requests for one concrete thing, I can do that.
There were new units for sure, but anyway I was really satisfied with this scenario..... I played it many times :).
