I read vaguely a while ago there was a Jewish person on one of the earliest ships to the Americas. He spoke Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic.

What was his name? I think it starts with L. It's frustrating the hell out of me.

Please I need an answer now!!

Well after a brief google scan I came up with Joachim Gaunse who is recorded to be the first Jew to step foot in colonial America in 1584. The information states that he gave Hebrew lessons to Ehglishmen so it may be him you are refering to.

No it's not him. But thanks for mentioning him anyway. I will read about him.

No this guy was from Spain or Italy.

Luis de Torres is the name your looking for ...at least I think it is.
