Any plans for a SMAC Democracy game?

Just wondering. We have a Civ2 one, a Civ3 one and a Civ2 MP game at Gamecatcher, so why don't we have a SMAC game? I think it could be very interesting, and lets face it, SMAC is way better than Civ3.

Are there any Democracy Games running at other Forums you know of?

Wonderful idea. Would be fun if we could just get enough players to join.

We could do some promotion on Alpha Centauri specific sites, or sites with a large SMAC community.

We don't have enough people to do a civ one... but it would be an interesting concept but I don't think it will happen any time soon... unless you can figure out a way to keep people interested in the game...

If one was started I would definitely drop the C3DG and join! I would stay in the C2DG though, but I think I can manage two games at one time.

If numbers are a problem we could just go with a factional cabinet...

(I must admit, my enthusiasm grew when I installed SMAC into my XP 1.6gig, and wow does it look fine!! And no problems with the OS either, at least none so far).

A team of people vote on what to do in a game. Most are single player, but there is a multiplayer variant at Gamecatcher forums...in that one, voting and strategizing is done almost exclusively in a chatroom. That's the only one I've been in (as player for the Evil Council team.)
