Any suggestions?

Hey y'all,

I'm interested in playing a new computer game. I love Civ (Dur, why else would I be here), and the Sims. I'm trying to find a new game that is fun, mentally stimulating, and not all shoot-em up. I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow (aka nirvana) to buy a new game. (I was a little dissappointed I didn't get any new games or anything for christmas, so my mom is letting me get a new game. Best. Mom. Ever.) Any good PC game suggestions?

If you liked Civ and are an RTS fan, you'll LOVE Rise of Nations! It's an excellent combination of Age of Empires and Civilization.

Does anyone have the new LotR Return of the King game for PCs? It looks pretty cool, but I don't know if it'll suck or not.

Warcraft 3. Especially if you're on a LOTR kick... I think you'll find the medieval fantasy setting very satisfying!

SimCity 4000, takes a while to get the hang of this but when you do it is great.

Another vote for warcraft III. That's what I'm buying as well in the very near future with some of my christmas money.

Get Sim City 2000, It's good it's cheap it's womderful!

Although I've never played Warcraft III, I do recommend it nevertheless as I've heard nothing but positive reactions about that game. It's still a little too expensive for me though.

I wouldn't recommend SimCity 2000.

HOW expensive? Or you just on a tight budget Matrix? I don't do PC games so I don't know pricing.

That ban lasted a long time, I see.

Anyway I'd reccomend HoI but ONLY if you're into in-depth strategy. That game is extremely deep if you try to get into it. I got a little bored of it, frankly, but I'm not into really in-depth strategy like that.

HANDS DOWN!!!

It is by far the most innovative, a combination of RTS and tactical strategy. RTS's have no strategy, just excitement, while turnbased have strategy, but no excitement. It is the combination that is a must have for any strategy fan. You tell your units what to do for the next minute of the battle, then they act it out for you. The Best concept EVER.
