Any ways to minimize crashing?

I know there's pretty much nothing to be done about the crashes especially later in the game, but are there any measures I can take that will lower the chance of them happening? Even if it's something extremely minor like "close the faction list in the lower right" or "center the map on empty ocean" or "wait for all the turn popups to finish"

Use Process Lasso. Smaller map sizes help too.
Do you use Process Lasso with AND2? I never tried it and as I see the guide is writtyfor RI. But IIRC RI doesn't have what AND2 has: Graphic Paging and View Ports.

No, I play Tiny and I never had a MAF in my life. Afaik graphics are not even a major factor for memory use, but the explanaition I've seen was for C2C (that moved away from view ports), so it could be already optimised to reach that. Anyway, if the problem is memory, then it should be relevant.

Going to try it with Process Lasso. I've only had one memory-related crash (since it showed me a message saying it was memory related) but almost all my crashes are just sudden CTDs during End Turn

EDIT: I must have used it wrong because all it's been doing is creating new crashes. I did the rule method of making it Trim at 825 mb like I saw in some other thread.
