Anyway to set a marker so that when I'm scouting I can put a reminder of where I want to put a city. If so anyway to show what tiles the city would be able to work. I understand that I can count three tiles out but I would like a faster way to do it.
Anyway to set up markers on the map for where to place cities?

WHoward has a mod that provides "map pin" functionality: http://www.picknmixmods.com/mods/96b31a10-8777-442f-9e6b-0f8fa969b86f/mod.html There may be other, similar mods in the Steam Workshop or the Creation & Customization forum.
As for modeling what the city might look like, you can toggle the hex grid on and off (hot key is the "g" key).
