The game never really "worked good" but it did work for periods of about 50 - 60 minutes. I've resigned myself to this and just remebered to save/reboot/start game again every 45 minutes. The game is just that fun. However, that has recently stopped and I'm stuck with about 10 minutes of gameplay before a system crash. I'm playing a normal sized map, high grahpics (I switched to median no good). The game worked fine until recently. It's later in the game 1950ish. One civilization has been destroyed, another is slowing dying. The game is now freezing regularly. I attached both my DirectX dialog and my Dr. Watson log. The Dr. Watson log comes from the occasional desktop crash's I get. Here are my system specs:
2.4 ghz pentium IV
128 mb ATI Radeon 9800 pro
1 gb HyperX memory
Soundblaster Audigy 2
Intel 865PEARL motherboard
TDK DVD/CD Burner
Generic CD-Rom
Sony floppy drive
100 gb harddrive (just reformated so it's got like 90 gb's free)
I usually play the game in the lowest resolution.
