Hi;

My vendor (Sony) did not have an updated driver, and the Catalyst package wouldn't upgrade my driver, so I found two options.

The Omega drivers (http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php)

or a 'hack' from driver heaven (http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/) that will allow installing the official ATi Catalyst drivers.

I used the Omega drivers, which seem pretty good, but...

I still have the "Cheshire Cat/Black Terrain" problem, although, like for several others, the mods look ok. :sad:

The manufacturer of your laptop is responsible for producing new graphics controller drivers, not ATi or nVidia.

The manufacturer has to actually hack the desktop equivalent driver to make it work with your laptop; so my suggestion is to go to your manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers from there.
