Try ATi Tray Tools, it's a low level device driver program that lets you override you control panel functions and control everything via Ati Tray tools. It's solved many problems for me in the past, you can set overriding AA modes, AF, video card overclocking, hardware tweaks, etc.... Anyways, may not work, but at least try it. It will run in your system tray and you can right or left click on it to set options...

Looks like you can really tweak a lot of setting here - maybe someone from Firaxis could check this out and let us know if we can make any changes for a profile that will solve the Cheshire cat/Dark screen issues.

yer welcome, please let us all know if it works out for you. There's another program out there that is similar, called RADLinker i think, u'd have to look up a URL tho.
