Australian Summer Update Won't Install

So I haven't bought the Australian Summer DLC, but to the best of my knowledge, the latest patch isn't installing. I still have version 1.00.00.56, which I don't think is right. Can anybody confirm that this is the wrong version, and help me out to install the update on Steam?

Yes, that version is out of date. Steam should have updated automatically, unless you have it set to do not update.

Go to your Steam Library, right click the game, and select Properties. First, check the Updates tab to make sure the "Automatic Updates" selection says "Always keep this game up to date". Second, go to the Local Files tab and select Verify Integrity of Game Cache. It should check your files and download the missing items. If that doesn't work, you may have to uninstall (in that same tab select "Uninstall Game") and then reinstall the game.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, I tried all of the things that you mentioned apart from uninstalling the game. Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to uninstall and wait

On a sidenote, it's crazy how the game can uninstall in less than a minute, but needs over two hours to install lol

What about mac? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail.
