Auto save

My ROM often crashes, and problem is autosave option does job only on every 8th turn.Is it possible to lower this setting, like every turn?

Yes, goto documents/my games/beyond the Sword and edit the CivilizationIV.ini file, find AutoSaveInterval part, and set it to 1

I tried several times, without success.Usually there is no AutoSave option, and if I add it, Civ just remove it and place it in Civ4.ini.bak

I personally use NotePad++ to edit it, then i use "save as" to save, remember to remove the Read-only checkbox in properties of the file itself...

Sure i did, and checked text.Problem is after I start Civ, save still goes as usual, plus ini file is completely changed.Funniest thing is same ini is saved as backup .bak file.
