Back-up E-mail address

mongoose21, the MSDG admin, has offers to each of the teams an e-mail address of his server to clear up recent troubles involving e-mails and the save game.

Should we ask him, then, fou a backup address?

Mongoose has requested that we limit the storage on his server to two or three files each, which means we will need to continuously check his e-mail server as well as our own (or abandon the civfanatics.net server altogether).

I think this is unnecessary for us. If we had been experiencing problems with our e-mail account, then perhaps this would make sense, but we have not had any troubles to date, and I think this would just add one more responsibility to the already long list of responsibilities for the DP.

Note: The problems experienced by GWT in receiving our e-mails turned out to be a poblem with their e-mail client misinterpreting our e-mails as spam.

I still think that we should ask him for just a backup, only to be used when civfanatics.net fails.

How often does civfanatics.net fail? I don't recall us having such a problem yet.

However, if we do decide to get this account, perhaps we should ask mongoose to automatically delete files after a certain period of time (if that's possible). That way, we do not need to check the box constantly to clear the account, but can use it in the odd event that our server does fail.
