Consider: Curaissers only cost 10 niter to upgrade.

You can easily mass chariots (before Stirrups). Then research Stirrups and beeline to Ballistics. Then get Cursaissers and win.

Actually I guess you're right.

But you may have no niter; in which case Horsemen ---> Courser ---> Cavalry is smoother.
