After patch, Im playing Rome, Marathon, Huge...and i get 120 gold per camp

My gf is playing Spain, Epic, Huge...and she gets 37 gold.

I used to get 75 gold pre patch.

Is this correct somehow? there has to be something im missing that the disparity is so huge now...

What is the difficulty level being played? Barbarian camp gold varies:

Difficulty Level Base Gold
Settler = 50
Chieftain = 40
Warlord = 30
Prince and above = 25

Game Speed
Marathon = 3.00x Gold
Epic = 1.50x Gold
Standard = 1.00x Gold
Quick = 0.67x Gold

Based on the information provide, I'd say you are playing on different difficulty levels. She appears to be playing a Prince or higher game (25 * 1.5) and you appear to be playing on Chieftain for this particular one (40 * 3) and Prince or above when you get 75 gold (25 * 3)...

Also, Songhai gets triple gold from pillaging barbarian camps and cities.

Looking at the numbers you're showing, you're playing on Chieftan and your girlfriend is playing on at least Prince. I think we know who the REAL Civ player is in the relationship

See that's the thing, we are both playing prince...I set both games up...should I be seeing 120 gold on prince/marathon and her 37 on prince/epic? I don't get it.

Both playing on Prince, I'd expect to see 75 Prince-Marathon and 37 Prince-Epic.

The short answer is I don't know... I have some suggestions though.

• You're playing on a different level and aren't aware of it.
• You're playing a MOD that changes the gold values
• You're making all this up

Start a new game for testing, verify all the settings, and capture a camp... See what happens.

Ugh sorry...i just restarted a new game Rome/Prince/Marathon/Huge...it came up 75 gold.

Looked at my current game, it was set on Chieftan i was restarting and re-doing the settings so many times, i must have forgot to switch that

NOW it makes sense lol thanks for that...no wonder my game was so easy up till now
