Barbarian Question

Hiya,

How do I adjust my game so that barbarian technology will eventually advance into the modern and future era, if given a chance? Industrial starts with macemen barbarians are somewhat silly.

Sorry if there is already a thread about this; my browser keeps crashing when I try to open the search bar for this forum.

One restriction which holds them back can be found at the bottom of Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\Civilizations\CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml ... they are restricted from building many different kinds of units and buildings. I don't know for sure that this is the only thing holding them back from building industrial and later era units, they way they tech is also different if I remember correctly and may put them behind as well.
