BAT and Global Warming?

OK, I just started playing the main game again after a few years off, and decided to try the BAT mod. So far it looks good.

When reading the description of the "Unaltered Gameplay Mantra" I see this at SourceForge: "BUG, BULL, and BAT all adhere to this mantra. BUFFY includes the Global Warming mod but is otherwise compliant."

However, when I hover my mouse over my flag in game, I see "Global Warming" as the last feature, after "AI Autoplay". Is this included? And if so, what is it? It isn't in the BULL changelog or the BUG help file, and I haven't found any specific documentation for BAT.
 
That particular mantra has changed a little with the inclusion of the BULL DLL in BAT. The BAT Mod now has a couple of new features that do indeed alter game play, specifically, Global Warming, and the Governors Build Workboats/Workers mods.

These are optional components in BULL that can be enabled with some XML merging, and are available to the standard BULL user if s/he so chooses to add them. With BAT, they are included, and the options are turned on. When you hover over the flag in BAT, all of the mods that are listed in the pop up are included and functional. If you look in the BUG options panels (CTRL-ALT-O), you can turn some of these features off, if you like.

BAT is primarily a graphically enhanced BUG/BULL, and that is about it. If you are wondering exactly what is what, the BUG documentation pretty much sums it up. There was never any reason to write documentation for BAT because it was simply derivative of BUG and BULL, with some shiny unit and city graphics thrown in.

EF and ruff are the architects of the GW module for BULL. They can probably better answer exactly what the mod does. Unfortunately, it's been a while since I've looked at the code, and I can't remember ATM.

BAT is an evolving mod, and though I do try to stay true to the mantra, I should warn you that the upcoming version 4 will break the rules profoundly, as it includes some new mods that don't change gameplay, but enhance it in different ways. However, for purists, all of the new goodies will be able to be turned off. :)

no no no. Not me. All EF. As far as I remember, this was requested by the HOF guys for BUFFY (see their links). I also seem to remember the GW addition being broken somehow.
