I usually found Mining Inc and Sushi, and just use those two. Sometimes I also found Aluminium Co and spread it to some other civ whom I know already have Aluminium, and enjoy the economic benefits.

How about you?

(BTW, to all of you more experienced players: give me all the combos available so I can make a poll!)

Possible Combos are:

Sushi/Mining
Cereals/Mining
Ethanol/Mining
Sushi/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers
Cereals/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers
Ethanol/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers

Obviously you can also have any subset of each combination. Personally I find Sushi/Mining to be the best in most games, unless I'm on a low seafood map type in which case replace cereals with Sushi, or going for a culture victory, in which case switch Mining for Creative Constructions and Civ Jewellers.

Okay, for some reason I can't add a poll, but

Sushi/Mining
Cereals/Mining
Ethanol/Mining
Sushi/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers
Cereals/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers
Ethanol/Creative Constructions/Aluminium/Civ Jewellers

is the list folks!

BTW, thanks MrCynical. I actually got the idea for this thread after having read your article.

I do the exact same thing. Mining and Sushi for me, Aluminum to civs who already have it or are so far behind in tech that it doesn't matter. Sometimes you can spread Civ Jewelers around without helping the AI too much. I usually spread my corporations to my vassals too. In my last game, my vassal was so weak that he didn't have even one of the resources needed for Mining. So I gifted him 1 iron and then spread Mining. I got 12 gold per city and a +1 attitude from my vassal for giving him a resource. My vassal had to pay maintenance all for the whopping benefit of 1 :hammers:

I try not to spread culture-producing stuff to my fellow neighbours. But I guess it'd depend on how far away the AI is :D

Bah humbug. In my day, corporations didn't run the nation, people did. I just have two words for all that nonsense. State Property.

Spoiler :
Sushi/Jewelers is my combo. Cheap food and cash on the fly.

I've thought about that too - it would be a great way to get your vassal to produce more units, his economy won't matter since you'll do the teching anyway. But I'm worried about my vassal spreading Mining to other AIs, does anyone know when he'll do that? I know the AI will sometimes spread to other players, as I myself have been spammed with Standard Ethanol before (pushing out Sushi...ugh).

Civ Jewelers, Sid's Sushi & Creative Mining, all HQed in your Wall Street city...
