My best effort so far was a 5056 point spaceship victory in an 8-civ Monarch game playing the Iroquois on a huge map. I figure that's pretty respectable but I'm sure some of you have gone a lot higher. Just wondering how the rest of the MacCivvies (OK, what would YOU call us?) are doing... :groucho:

By the way, how about somebody coming up with a Mac smilie?

Nope, not me. My best is approximately 2900 on regent. I've only started one monarch game and trashed soon after I upgraded to 1.17g. Fearful! :)

Hi!

Well I did a lot better and my brother is even better then I... my highest score is 11488 at deity on a tiny map and my brother did a blazing 12414 at emperor on a tiny map...

So keep this up...

We used the Chinese for both game and yes it was pangea world.

Well the Pangaea world was no surprise, but I would have guessed the Aztecs or Zulus or Egyptians for a really quick kill. :slay:

Personnaly I perfer the fact that chinese are Militaristic and Indistrius... that helps a lot for a war oriented campain...

Haven't actually tried the Chinese - I'll have to give them a shot. :sniper:

BTW, What are your best scores on large or huge maps?

I only did one game with a huge map and it was my very first game of civ3 so you as well imagine what kind one score I had then...

But I'll try it again today... the problem is that with a huge map my computer has a tendency to unexpectedly quit civ3 so I grew tired of trying it out...

Just curious - what kind of victory, what year and how long did the computer turns take toward the end?

Well, I guess I am nothing to brag about. My best so far is 3507 on Warlord difficulty.

Just out of curiosity, what is the highest number of palace improvements you have gotten in one turn? I have gotten two several times, three once or twice and once I got five improvements on my palace in one turn.

I think that's a bug. I've also gotten multiple improvements, as many as three per turn. I believe the game awards no more than one per turn but sometimes forgets to bring up the screen. Maybe Brad can comment...

I think it's definitelly a bug. Somethimes after checking the palace I get imediately 3 improvements and then allmost every turn another one without any changes done (eg luxury goods or tax improvement).
On the other hand the computer often forgets that I got an improvement

I just notched my best score - 5999 - on Emperor (1.21), with standard everything. I also played the Chinese, and gained a domination victory in 1315.
