It's not that bad. You've got an instant luxury, a +4 Campus location, a +3 Harbor location, and some fishing boat tiles. The only real downside is that you can't train useful civilian units without embark tech or military units without embark tech or an Encampment. But, once you get over that hurdle, you'll be OK.

Yeah, I kinda want to try this out because you can make it work as soon as you can move units through water tiles. It might be a bit slow at the beginning but it's doable.

Do everything with your warrior. Scout, steal settlers, workers, destroy civs and win with this single warrior. I have faith in you.

And an early pantheon (because of faith from tobacco).

In fact, you can even boost production early by forgoing Godking while still achieving a pantheon by turn 20-ish.

Rushing for Religious Settlements may not be necessary due to the inability of crossing coastal tiles. So I'd grab another pantheon and then expand from there.

The turn 1 boost to Sailing is also great for the quickly getting to the tech for entering coastal tiles. All in all, not a very bad start indeed

You also have the edge in that you can easily ignore barbarians early on, at least until they start getting boats. I guess go sailing first, then go quick to writing for campuses, and once that's up, it won't be too long before you can start floating units to settle on the mainland.

It's a good defensive location since the AI sucks at naval combat. Also a great mausoleum of halicarnassus city.
