I'd really appreciate the latest knowledge on this. I'm trying to do some simple unit edits in Blender and export so they work in game/in Nif Viewer...I'd really like to contribute some custom models to the site/ mods. I've been reading through the tutorials and threads here but I'm a little confused as to what the latest versions of Blender/export scripts can do.
I have the latest Blender version and the plug-in export script.
I tried the 'spy' tutorial here.
When I tried to export the edited spy model a very quick error message about 'UV' flashed up and disappeared. I recall reading somewhere about checking UV mapping, and that Blender can only read one texture file at a time, but I don't know if this is still current/relevant?
I'm quite new to this but have modelled stuff for warcraft 3 (with a free modelling programme made for Quake) until a certain quite popular online game stole all the modders away.
Also, assuming I can export a model succesfully, is there a super-quick way of getting the unit in game?
